Sophomore Advocates of the Justice Nsima Akpabio Chambers
The leadership team behind the International Day of the African Child 2026 Outreach.

The Sophomore Advocates (Aurora Lex) are the 2024/2025 class of the Justice Nsima Akpabio Chambers, a group distinguished by its commitment to excellence, service, and meaningful impact. Since their emergence within the chamber, members have consistently demonstrated a willingness to lead, innovate, and contribute to the growth of both the chamber and the wider community. Their efforts and achievements earned them the prestigious Class of the Year Award during the administration of Micah Effiong, a recognition of their outstanding contributions and collective spirit.
From their first year, the class established a culture of purposeful engagement through initiatives that extended beyond the classroom. The publication of Historypedia reflected their dedication to preserving institutional history and celebrating the legacy of the chamber. The class also embarked on outreach programmes, including a visit to Royalty College, Udoette, Uyo, where members engaged students through educational and developmental activities. These initiatives showcased a strong belief in using knowledge, advocacy, and leadership as tools for positive change.
The spirit of Aurora Lex is defined not only by achievement but also by unity and service. From organizing one of the most memorable class picnics in recent chamber history to commemorating the Day of the African Child through an advocacy outreach at Christian Secondary Commercial School, Obio Imo, Uyo, the class has continually demonstrated its commitment to making a difference. As they progress toward graduation in 2029, the Sophomore Advocates remain focused on building a legacy of excellence, impact, and leadership that will endure long after their time in the chamber.
We believe that legal education carries an obligation to serve. Our outreach programmes, pro bono initiatives and community engagements reflect a commitment to using our skills for the benefit of others.
We are trained to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. Advocacy is not merely a skill we develop — it is the foundation of our identity as future legal practitioners and social leaders.
We cultivate leadership through responsibility, accountability and initiative. Every member of the chamber is encouraged to lead projects, mentor peers and contribute to the collective growth of the body.
The measure of our success is not found in trophies or titles, but in the lives we touch and the justice we pursue — one community at a time.
The Sophomore Advocates extend their sincere gratitude to the executive team for their vision and dedication, to the volunteers who gave their time and energy, to the students and teachers who welcomed the outreach with open minds, and to the supporters whose contributions made this initiative possible. This work is a collective effort, and its success belongs to all who participated.
